FOREWORD

The inevitable industry 4.0 era has now effected various countries, including Indonesia. The Ministry of Industry has responded to it by developing strategic plans to support businesses in implementing the industry 4.0. Meanwhile, the existence of digital technology is expected to help manufacturing and service industries to innovate and to create more efficient and sustainable business processes. This will lead companies to gain a competitive advantage. Opportunities that emerge in the industry 4.0 have raised many start-up companies run by young people in their productive age. Innovation and sustainability seem to be a must for start-up companies, especially in this tight competition. The Management Department of Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University holds an annual competition called Trisakti Management Challenge and invite students to develop a business plan regarding the creation of innovative business ideas by implementing digital technology and make it sustainable in the long run. The grand theme of the 2nd TMC 2019 in Sustainable Business and Innovation in the Era of Industry 4.0. The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University fully supports the TMC 2019 and hopes that this competition will encourage students to implement their knowledge into an actionable business plan.

The existence of digital technology has changed the entire business system in this fourth generation of industrial revolution. Various opportunities that emerged have led young people to develop their own product and services using digital technology. In this case, innovation and sustainability is a must for businesses to survive. This Business Plan Competition held by Faculty of Economics and Business , Trisakti University challenges students to develop creative ideas, planning and strategies that last in the long run

TMC2019


Trisakti Management Challenge is a routine activity organized by the faculty of management. The implementation of 2019 is the second year of TMC. Before changing its name to TMC, this activity had the name TEBFC.

The TMC 2019 competition is intended as a forum for students from various universities at the regional level to develop innovative business ideas by utilizing digital technology in the creation of products/services and making it a sustainable business. The goals to be achieved in the implementation of TMC 2019 can be described as follows:
a. Improve students skill to apply the knowledge gained from college and other competencies they have.
b. Improve students skill to take advantage of business opportunities which exist.
c. Encourage students to develop creative ideas which can be implemented in the creation of products/services by utilizing digital technology.
d. Improve student soft-skills, such as communicate, share ideas, knowledge, and experience and work together.
